SUMMARY:An EPIC 5K Memorial Day Run
DESCRIPTION:Are you looking for an outdoor activity for the whole family? One that allows you to help others while you help yourself? Then the Inaugural EPIC 5K Memorial Run/Walk is just the thing for you! Everyone is welcome to participate!  The Inaugural EPIC 5K Memorial Run/Walk event is inclusive to anyone of any age\, skill-level\, or ability can participate in any race! \nEach participant will have a great race experience\, a fabulous EPIC 5K Memorial Run/Walk\, race bib and bag filled with goodies supplied by local businesses. \nLocation: Ellis – Methvin Park | 2601 E Cherry Street  | Plant City\, FL. \nREGISTRATION:\nOnline registration closes on April 13th at 10 AM. \n* * * NO REFUNDS\, TRANSFERS\, or EXCHANGES. * * * \nSTART TIMES:  There are currently 2 hour-long time slots that you can select from – 8:00\, 8:30\, 9:00 or 9:30am. This will allow for social distancing at the start. This is a chip timed event\, so your time starts when you cross the starting line and ends when you cross the finish line. You can start any time during the time slot you choose. (We will add additional time slots if the 1st three blocks fill up.) There is also a virtual option for those that want to run an EPIC 5K Memorial Run/Walk at their own time and place! \nAWARDS:  Live race participants will be eligible for awards in both Male and Female divisions – Overall\, Masters (40+)\, Grand Masters (50+) and age groups (5 yr increments) starting at 9 & under\, 10-14\, 15-19… up to 80+. (Sorry but virtual runners will not be eligible for awards.) Virtual runners will be able to submit their times to see how they placed against other virtual runners. Since the race is held over the course of 2-3 hrs\, a results email will be sent out with final results and awards will be available Monday\, April 19 at Brandon EPIC3 School\, 1019 N. Parsons Ave\, Seffner during normal business hours. Arrangements can be made to have awards mailed to the participants address. \nEARLY & VIRTUAL RACE PACKET PICKUP:  Will be held at Brandon EPIC3 School on Thursday\, April 15 from 4-7PM and Friday\, April 16 from 4-7PM. Virtual packets can be shipped for $5 per packet. \nDAY OF RACE REGISTRATION AND PACKET PICKUP:  Will be available but shirts will not be guaranteed. Packets will be available to pick up\, starting at 6:15am on race day. It is encouraged that you to pickup your packet before race day\, so you can just come to the event and start your run. \nCOVID REQUIREMENTS:   We ask that runners please wear masks while within 6 feet of other runners not living in the same household\, both before and after the race.
