SUMMARY:2022 5th Annual PARR for the Course 5K
DESCRIPTION:RESULTS \nPlease join us on one of the most unique 5K courses in the Tampa Bay area. Enjoy this beautiful yet challenging 5K course as it winds its way through the lush\, wooded grounds of the Babe Zaharias golf course. Surrounded by the quaint charm of Forest Hills\, this race offers a flat\, fast run sure to appeal to all levels of runners. \nThe 5K starts promptly at 6:30 pm and will be chip timed by TRC Race Management. \nFor those that do not wish to participate in the 5K\, but want to join in the fun\, there will also be a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk immediately following the 5K. See the FAQ section at the bottom of this page or email us at info@parrfoundation.org. \nIt’s a good Friday for a run! \nDon’t worry about dinner!\nWe are going to have a great Post-Race Party featuring a live DJ\, FREE BEER\, and great food samples from area restaurants. Not running? For a modest donation to the PARR Foundation ($10 food only\, $15 food and beer)\, you can enjoy all of the goodies! Brass Tap is located at 10047 N Dale Mabry Hwy in Tampa. \nWill I be guaranteed a commemorative t-shirt? \nYou are only guaranteed a t-shirt if you registered and paid by 3/29/20. After that\, it will be first-come\, first-serve while supplies last. \nCan I register and pay on the day of the race? \nStarting at 4 pm\, you can register and pay at the higher day-of rates. Cash\, check or credit card is accepted. T-shirts are not guaranteed for day-of registrations. \nWhat time does the race start? \nThe 5K begins promptly at 6:30 pm with the 1-mile fun run beginning at approximately 7:30 pm. Allow extra time if you will be registering or picking up your packet that day. \nWhat do I need to do on the day of the race? \nTry to arrive at Babe Zaharias Golf Course between 5-6 pm. If you did not already pick up your packet at the Running Center\, proceed to the pavilion for registration and/or race packet pick-up. \nWill my race be timed? \nThe 5K is computer timed with MyLaps disposable chips and the 1 mile is clock timed. Awards will be based on these results. \nWhere can I see my race results? \nResults will be posted onsite continually as runners finish\, with the complete results posted upon the completion of the race. Results will also be posted online at runsignup.com/parrforthecourse/results & on coolrunning.com. \nWill I receive an award? \nMedals and gift bags will be given to the overall top male and female runners. Medals will be given to the top 3 runners in each age bracket in 5-year increments. Finisher medals will be available for the first 325 registered for the 5K race. \nCan I run with a stroller? \nWagons\, running strollers\, baby strollers\, or any other form of the stroller are permitted in the 5K and 1 Mile\, however\, you must start at the back of the pack. Please note\, our event insurance DOES NOT COVER THESE ACTIVITIES: BIKES\, SKATEBOARDS\, BABY JOGGERS\, STROLLERS\, WAGONS\, ROLLERBLADES. \nAre pets permitted? \nPets on a leash are permitted on-site and can participate in the 1 Mile Fun Run. Pets are NOT permitted in the 5K race. \nAre spectators allowed? \nYes\, spectators are allowed and encouraged to watch from a safe vantage point along the course. \nCan I get a refund? \nThere will be no refunds for no-shows\, weather or course conditions\, or pandemics. \nIs there a post-race party? \nABSOLUTELY! An incredible party featuring a live DJ\, FREE BEER*\, and great food samples from area restaurants! And it’s all FREE with your paid event registration.
