Meet Highlights

With the roar of a King Lion, that being Mason LaBlance, the inaugrual TRC King Invitational got underway Saturday morning, as it seemed to be well loved by those in attendance on Valentine’s Day!
Mason started the day off right with a 6 second PR in the 3200, running 9:23. Doubling back in the 1600, Mason had a solid showing runnnig 4:33, but the winner of that event was 800m specialist Jaxon Kiper of Strawberry Crest, sealing the win at 500m to go and closing out with a 61 final 400, 28 final 200. Kiper had already gone 9:45 earlier in the week at Newsome and barely missed another Crest school record with that big win in the 1600. Other boys of note were Johnathan Robison of Newsome going sub 2 for the first time, taking the 800, clocking 1:59.24 and Andras Zayas of  TBT went 22.28 in the 200 for the win.
On the girls side, on her home track Olivia Lewis took the girl’s 1600 out of the non championship heat , running a very solo 5:47.93!
